The Schreyer Honors College presents a handful of awards to Scholars each year to recognize their academic achievements and contributions to society. Awarded to a senior Schreyer Scholar who exemplifies those attributes which Dr. Paul Axt, founding director of the University Scholars Program, fostered through the honors program: the passionate commitment to inquiry that promotes high scholarly achievement and the intellectual curiosity and daring that lead to the development and pursuit of wide ranging interests.

The submission deadline has been extended to April 21 to coincide with the new Schreyer Honors College thesis submission deadline of April The University Libraries initiated this annual competition to emphasize the importance of utilizing quality research methods and employing a thorough understanding of the legal and ethical issues related to the use of information—both key components of academic excellence. For any student required to complete a thesis as a graduation requirement Schreyer Honors student, Paterno Fellows, etc. This competition recognizes the discerning inquiry and diligent research undertaken by scholars in preparation for the completion of each thesis. Students interested in applying for the award must complete an online application , have a faculty statement of support, and submit a copy of the final thesis. The competition includes a review of the submitted theses by a faculty jury. Three finalists will be selected to prepare a public oral presentation, which will be held by Zoom on Thursday, May 7 at PM.
